Former Alabama A&M quarterback, Michael Bennett, to retire from NFL

Michael Bennett has decided to retire at the end of his career with the Seattle Seahawks.

The veteran wide receiver and former Alabama A &M standout, who has been a cornerstone of the Seattle secondary, will announce the decision at a press conference at 1 p.m.

ET Tuesday, according to a league source.

Bennett, a four-time Pro Bowler, is one of the league’s all-time leaders in receiving yards and is second all-Time in receiving touchdowns (30).

He also ranks second in receptions (5,842) and third in receiving TDs (28).

He played his college football at Alabama.

Bennet was selected in the second round of the 1994 NFL Draft by the Seahawks.
